Roche Table Soccer World Cup 2018

During the football World Cup an inter-site table soccer tournament will take place at Roche’s sites in Basel, Kaiseraugst, Rotkreuz, Grenzach, Penzberg and Mannheim.

The preliminary round in Basel and Kaiseraugst will start on 05 March 2018. The participating teams will compete in groups and should consist of three to five players. The two best teams from each group will proceed to the single-elimination playoff round, in which the winner for the Basel and Kaiseraugst site will be determined in the final match. The winning teams from Basel and Kaiseraugst will participate at the superfinal on 14 June 2018 - this year as part of the Children's Walk

Superfinal: On 14 June from 3 pm the final match will take place at Basel Site when the top teams from all participating sites will decide the tournament winner. Starting at 5 pm, the football World Cup opening match will be broadcasted on the big screen. All participants are invited to this event.

Registration for teams in Basel/Kaiseraugst can be submitted until 28 February 2018.
All (internal and external) Roche employees from Basel/Kaiseraugst/Reinach are eligible to take part.

After the registration period, groups will be drawn and a match schedule will be provided. Each team is self-responsible for the coordination of the games within a given group.
Afterwards, the teams have to book the tables for the games at the website. There will be several table soccer tables available for the tournament in Basel (Grenzacherstrasse and Viaduktstrasse) and Kaiseraugst. After the matches, the winners record the results at the same website.
Participation does not count as work time. Please clock out for the games.
