Realize your full potential with the Roche Career Center

The RCC is a tangible example of co-creation in action. Colleagues from different P&C areas as well as employees from Business and AVR/AKR worked together to create a place where employees can explore and shape their work and life journey and take responsibility for their career.

The history of the Roche Career Center started more than 3 years ago. At that time, as part of a project, we discussed different ways to increase the employability of our employees with innovative ideas.

Out of many discussions and brainstorming sessions the idea was born to create a place that gives all employees access to different development opportunities - without the need to get approval from the line manager and without any costs for the different offers.

This idea could be implemented because a group of volunteers was willing to offer their time (less than 4hr/months), knowledge and expertise to other employees. What began on a small scale with offers such as short-term coaching, career counseling and job application advice, led to overwhelming demand after only a short time. Employees are very happy to take advantage of this opportunity to be supported by colleagues in their development - and to strengthen their labor market skills.

This employability is not just about getting a new job, but about strengthening a wide range of skills and attributes that enable a successful career path. However, it starts with recognizing one's own strengths and values, as well as one's own aspirations. The Roche Career Center serves exactly this purpose.

Since last year, the local Roche Career Center has evolved into a global solution. Our services are now available in the EMEA, APAC and Americas regions.

For our employees in Basel, this means that our offerings and services have greatly expanded. By now, our volunteer community comprises more than 500 people who actively support the Roche Career Center.
