It's coming round again ;-) Call for Bike to Work Challenge 2023 - for health and team spirit
Taking exercise is an important part of staying healthy. So cycling to work is a sort of daily fitness programme – it's healthy, inexpensive and environmentally friendly. That's why F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd is taking part again in the Bike to Work Challenge, as it does every year. Strengthen your team spirit and fitness, ride your bike to work in May & June for at least 50% of your working days and win great prizes at the end of the Challenge.
How it works:
Is this the first time you're joining in?
Create a profile under "F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd" and register.
If you already have a profile, log in now. You then have the following three options:
- Create a team and invite your colleagues. If there are any teams with free spaces, the teams market will appear automatically on the Team page.
Then you can send in a request to ride along with a team. - Wait until you are invited to join a team.
- Here are the rules.
Important: Bike rides on non-working days must not be entered. So in such cases you must always enter “Not a working day” (grey) for days when you are not working (days off, holidays, sickness or other absences). Grey days are neutral and do not count in the draw.
To ensure that your bike is roadworthy, we offer a free service check from 08:00 to 16:00 on the following days (in collaboration with the Mobility team):
Basel, Tinguely park, in front of the Kita
Tuesday, 21.3.2023
Wednesday, 22.3.2023
Kaiseraugst (in front of Building 211)
Thursday, 23.3.2023
From April to the end of the year, bike servicing will generally be available at the Basel site from 08:00 to 16:00 on every 1st Tuesday of the month (on a trial basis and payable by the user).
A monthly bike service will also be available at the Kaiseraugst site. Unfortunately, no fixed day has yet been set. As soon as it is known, is communicated via the Mobility gSite.
In addition, an e-bike road show at which you can try out different makes of bike will be held in Basel in the Tinguely park (in front of the Kita) on 22.3.2023 . We're pleased to be having Stromer and Flyer bikes available on site from 10:00 to 16:00.
Accompanying AVR activities
This year too, we look forward to seeing photos of your special Bike to Work moments. Please share them with the AVR secretariat: “email hidden; JavaScript is required”. In addition, the AVR is planning a barbecue party after the end of the Bike to Work Challenge 2023 and will inform participants in good time.
